About CefpodoximeThird Generation Cephalosporin antibiotic, Oral antibiotic.Mechanism of Action of CefpodoximeCefpodoxime is a 3rd generation cephalosporin which exerts its bactericidal action mainly against gram positive organisms by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cefpodoxime inhibits transpeptidase & thus prevents cross linking of bacterial cell wall. Transpeptidase & associated proteins constitute various types of specific binding proteins which have affinity for cephalosporins like Cefpodoxime.
It is active against enterobacteriaceae, streptococci ,staphylococci aureus, & H. influenzae.

About DicloxacillinA semisynthetic narrow spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic ofpenicillin class, Penicillinase resistant Antibiotic.Mechanism of Action of DicloxacillinLike other ?-lactam antibiotics, dicloxacillin acts by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. It inhibits cross-linkage between the linear peptidoglycan polymer chains that make up a major component of the cell wall of Gram-positive bacteria.Pharmacokinets of DicloxacillinAbsorption :Absorption after oral administration is rapid but incomplete, food delays absorption
Distribution: widespread, highest in kidneys & liver, CSF low
