About PiracetamPyrrolidone derivative, a cyclic derivative of GABA, Nootropic,in cerebrovascular insults and insufficiency.Mechanism of Action of PiracetamPiracetam is a cyclic GABA derivative. It facilitates the movement of information between the brain`s 2 hemispheres via corpus callosum and improves the function of Acetylcholine via muscarinic receptors which are implicated in memory process. Piracetam is also called as Nootropics or cognition enhancer.
Piracetam improves the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) which is the energy storage and energy generating molecules within our cells. Piracetam increases the blood flow to the brain and promote cerebral metabolism. It increases brain`s use of glucose and oxygen. It also enhances protein synthesis in the brain.
Piracetam enhances the excitatory neurotransmitter NMDA glutamate receptor which is involved in learning and memory process.
Piracetam modulates calcium and potassium ion channels.

About Ginkgo BilobaN/AMechanism of Action of Ginkgo BilobaThe mechanism of action of ginkgo is believed to be produced by its functions as a neuroprotective agent, an antioxidant, a free-radical scavenger, a membrane stabilizer, and an inhibitor of platelet-activating factor via the terpene ginkgolide B.Other pharmacologic effects include the following: endothelium relaxation mediated by inhibition of 3',5'-cyclic GMP (guanosine monophosphate) phosphodiesterase; inhibition of age-related loss of muscarinergic cholinoceptors and ?-adrenoceptors; and stimulation of choline uptake in the hippocampus.Ginkgo extract also has been shown to inhibit beta-amyloid deposition.Pharmacokinets of Ginkgo BilobaN/AOnset of Action for Ginkgo BilobaN/ADuration of Action for Ginkgo BilobaN/AHalf Life of Ginkgo BilobaN/ASide Effects of Ginkgo Biloba1.Headaches

About VinpocetinePhosphodiesterase 1 inhibitor, a semisynthetic vincamine derivative, Nootropic, Vasodilator.Mechanism of Action of VinpocetineVinpocetine is a semi synthetic derivative of Vincamine. It is a phosphodiesterases inhibitor. It produces vasodilator action and improves blood flow. Vinpocetine facilitates cerebral metabolism by improving blood flow to the brain. It increases the production of ATP in the brain cell and increasing utilization of glucose and oxygen by neurons. Vinpocetine increases the production of Noradrenaline and Dopamine. It prevents strokes, senile dementia and memory disturbances. It is a cerebral metabolic activator and a neuronal protector. It produces an immediate increase in the cerebral oxygenation and results in the activation of the cerebral metabolism.Pharmacokinets of VinpocetineAbsorption: It is absorbed from the small intestine
