Indications for Estriol

Senile or atrophic vaginitis. Preoperative preparation of the vagina. Dyspareunia in menopausal states.

Interactions for Estriol

Interactions seen only when used systemically. Now-a-days only used locally as a cream.
Oral anticoagulants : Anticoagulant effect antagonized.

Typical Dosage for Estriol

Adults: 1 applicatorful applied intravaginally once or twice daily for 1-2 weeks, gradually reduced to 1/2-1 applicatorful twice daily for 1-2 weeks. Maintenance: 1 applicatorful 1-3 times weekly after complete restoration of vaginal mucosa.
Children: Not recommended.
