About TretinoinRetinoid, vitamin A metabolite, Anti-acne,in hyperpigmentation.Mechanism of Action of TretinoinTretinoin is All Trans retinoic acid (acid form of vitamin A). Tretinoin is a potent comedolytic. It stimulates mitosis and epidermal cell turnover and also promotes lysis of keratocytes. It inhibits the binding of horny cells to each other and prevents the formation of comedones. It acts as a follicular epithelium irritant. Through these actions, the comedo contents are extruded and the formation of the microcomedo, the precursor lesion of acne vulgaris, is reducedPharmacokinets of TretinoinAbsorption: Absorption after topical application is minimal.Onset of Action for TretinoinN/ADuration of Action for TretinoinN/AHalf Life of TretinoinN/ASide Effects of Tretinoin1. About ErythromycinMacrolide Antibiotic.Mechanism of Action of ErythromycinErythromycin is a member of macrolide antibiotics. It binds to the 50S sub unit of bacterial ribosome and inhibits translocation.ie: they interfere with the transfer of the newly formed peptide chain from the A site to the P site and fails to expose the A site .So that A site is unable to bind with the next aminoacyl t RNA complex. This leads to premature termination of amino acid chain and there by inhibits protein synthesis.Pharmacokinets of ErythromycinAbsorption: The buffered form of erythromycin is completely absorbed.Distribution: It is widely distributed in the body in protein bound form.Metabolism: small portion undergo metabolism to inactive compound.Excretion: It is primarily excreted through bile and also through urine and breast milk.Onset of Action for Erythromycin2 - 4 hourDuration of Action for Erythromycin8 - 12 hourHalf Life of Erythromycin1 - 2 hourSide Effects of Erythromycin1.Nausea
