30% to 100% factor VIII; intra venously 8th hourly. (100% specifies One IU of anti hemophilic factor/ml of blood).
Minor haemorrhage: 30%
Moderate to major haemorrhage: 40 to 50% 3 to 4days until wound healing
Major haemorrhage: 60 to 100% for 0ne week and continued in the next week to maintain blood level 30 to 50%.
In life threatening or surgical situations initiate the therapy to achieve 100% and then adjust the dosage so that the blood level after 8 hours of an infusion does not fall below 50%.
