Dimethyl polysiloxane is a silicone derivative which is used in symptomatic treatment of postprandial and postoperative flatulence and abdominal distension.It acts as defoaming agent and eliminates gases from GI tract.It is used in combination with antacids,antispasmodics and digestants.
